Athletes and DUI's: How Hard Is It To Call a Cab?

I've talked a few times here about celebrities and athletes who have been caught for drunk driving. I think it's ridiculous that with all the money that they have, they can't be responsible enough to hire someone to pick them up after they've had a few drinks. The taxi cab wasn't invented for nothing!

The reason I bring this up again is because I continue to read news reports of athletes who have been charged with DUI's - most recently Kenny Stabler of the Oakland Raiders and Cedric Benson of the Chicago Bears....oh, and Carmelo Anthony.

Really - how hard is it to pick up the phone and have someone pick you up or to designate a driver if you're with a group of friends? You don't have to be rich to call a cab and so what if you have to wake someone up in the middle of the night? It sure beats getting a call in the middle of the night with the news that you're dead.
